Scarlett Chen is an Award-Winning Filmmaker & Founder of Wellness Journey Co.
She was recently named Top 100 Women in Health & Wellness in Hongkong by Liv Magazine. Spurred by her own curiosity and health journey, Scarlett focuses on bridging stories between the East & West and is passionate towards using film to shed light on various health & wellness topics.
Her story is one of two worlds, and she has always appreciated the best of both. She is Australian-born Chinese and grew up between Melbourne and Hangzhou. She is the founder of the wellness platform, Wellness Journey & international film production company, Adele Studio.
Having lived with fatigue from mold exposure after moving to a new city , Scarlett was curious to explore all possible treatments. She wanted to learn about natural ways of healing as well as the latest research and breakthroughs. And this led her to embark on an odyssey into ancient and modern wellness modalities and eastern and western perspectives on health.
She spoke to scientists, biohackers, Buddhist monks, mindfulness teachers, and practitioners in traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda.
She interviewed leaders in diverse wellness movements, including Clint Ober, the pioneer of the Grounding Movement and Patrick Hanaway, one of the leaders at the forefront of Functional Medicine.
Her enlightening findings compelled Scarlett to share this wealth of information with others & she is now in the process of filming her second documentary.
Scarlett has studied filmmaking at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she is a certified health coach and a yoga alliance certified yoga instructor. She is fluent in English & Mandarin Chinese.
